Very Cool Sheets

Pottery Barn Kids' new Very Hungry Caterpillar sheets are very cool!  I love Eric Carle's illustrations and this story is especially nice with all the fruits and foods.  The images work so nicely for bedding.  I also love the quality of Pottery Barn Kids bedding.  It lasts forever!  So it's a very great product all around.

Sweet Dreamy Bed

Wow, I love the new Perch Bunk Bed from Oeuf.  So simple and elegant...beautiful design.  You can also remove the bottom bunk and use it as a stand alone bed.  I really like that it isn't over-designed and heavy like a lot of bunk beds on the market.  A great option for getting more bang for you spatial buck!  Have a look here.

Pillow Bots

These are pretty awesome Pillows from Danish company, Ferm Living.  They would definitely look great in a boy's bedroom.....maybe something for the wild man!  You can pick yours up at Ittikid.

New and Awesome in Chicago

The best new thing in Chicago is the new Galt Baby store in Lincoln Park!  It's a warehouse style store with all the fabulous things you could ever want!  They have a huge selection of strollers with plenty of room to tool around and try them out.  They've got car seats, high chairs, cribs, and all the wonderful lovely baby essentials you could ever want.  And of course, toys!  It's the best place to go for all the best.  Here are a few more shots, just to give you a better idea.  For more info, check out the Galt website. 

 

Oddly Ornate Seating

I do love Marcel Wanders' Parent Chairs and Table.  They are ornate and clunky at the same time.  I love the fat legs that look like they've been hand spun on a lathe.  Yet the set is made of polypropelene.  Love that it's black too.  They say every room should have something black in it.....so this might be just the thing to punch up your nursery.  Something to think about for the wild man!  Available at Matter.

Stylin' Storage

 

I recently discovered and ordered these awesome storage boxes designed by Lego for Iris.  They just arrived and they did not disappoint.  I was expecting them to come with lids, but instead the handles fold inward to support the box above.  They look really good in the Wild Man's room and they're great for throwing toys in.  The wheels are very handy too.  And of course, I love the faces!  They come in a set of four at Organize.com.

Foamtastic

The perfect table and chair set for the Wild Man?  I'm thinking about it......boy do I love Offi's Eva Foam furniture.  To complete the set (of course I want the COMPLETE set) you can buy the table, 2 chairs, and 2 stools.  It's light yet super strong (each piece can hold 300 lb.!) and easy to stack.  I think this looks like loads of fun....not just for sitting at the table, but for building and climbing around.  If you are an Eebee fan, you will have seen these stools throughout all the videos.  They come in blue/green and orange/red and they're available at many different online retailers. 

Royally Awesome

Royal Copenhagen, famous Danish porcelain and home brand collaborated with illustrator Shane Brox to create the fanciful plates and bowls above.  They are accompanied by a book written and illustrated by Brox about granny's porcelain figurines coming to life.  A wonderful keepsake collection.

I really like the Bobles Elephant....a clever chair/ rocker/ toy.  I especially love the ingenious design which allows it to look like an elephant when right side up and like a smiling face when turned upside down.  It comes in six fabulous color options and the product line also includes seven other animal toys.  I am also a fan of this high density foam for kids furniture....very strong yet light and easy to move around.  Order online from Brooklyn's Mini Jake.....and peruse their other awesome products while your at it!

 

Genealogy + Modern Aesthetics = Awesomeness

This is just the best idea I've heard of in a while!  At My Tree and Me you can choose a family tree design from their beautiful options and then they email you a genealogy form to fill out.  Once they receive your info, they create your one of a kind family tree.  A beautiful idea for a baby gift.  I love it and I'm going to need to get one for the little wild man.
